Any european citizen living legaly in spain for more than 3 months has to apply for his NIE, which will be needed for many social or profesional  issues, like getting your health card.The steps you have to follow in Valencia city to get it are:1.- Register as a residentGo to:Valencia’s Town Hall in Tabacalera building.  Amadeo de Saboya road.bring:

• Rental contract, original and copy
• Passaport, original and copy
• ID card, original and copy

2.- Go to the foreigner’s police station in C / Bailén nº9 (963.417.631)bring:

• Application form for the university, original and copya (students)
• Rental contract, original and copy
• Passaport, original and copy
• ID card, original and copy
• Certificate of your register as a resident
• European sanitary card
• Certificate of Registration of citizen of the U.E.
